Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Izuke. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Izuke mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service") operated by Izuke ("we", "us", or "our").
By downloading the app, creating an account, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Izuke. By using the Service you represent and warrant that:
- You are 18 years of age or older.
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
- You are not prohibited from using the Service under any applicable law.
- You have not been convicted of a felony or a sex crime.
3Your Account
When you create an account you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us immediately at hello@izuke.app if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
You may not create more than one account, transfer your account to another person, or use another person's account.
4The Service
Izuke is a platform that connects runners based on pace, availability, location, and running goals. The Service allows you to:
- Create a runner profile and set your preferences.
- Discover and connect with other runners near you.
- Chat with matched runners and plan runs together.
- Log runs and create Moments to commemorate shared runs.
We do not conduct background checks on users beyond our identity verification process. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, both online and offline.
5User Conduct
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Harass, threaten, stalk, or harm any other user.
- Post false, misleading, or deceptive information on your profile.
- Impersonate any person or entity.
- Send unsolicited commercial messages or spam.
- Solicit money from other users.
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose.
- Attempt to access, tamper with, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
- Scrape or harvest data from the Service.
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
6Identity Verification
Izuke offers a voluntary identity verification feature powered by a third-party liveness check service. Verification confirms that your profile photo represents a real person. While we encourage all users to verify, verification is not a guarantee of identity or safety.
By submitting to the verification process you consent to the processing of your facial image by our third-party verification provider. This image is used solely for the purpose of liveness detection and is not stored by Izuke after the check is complete.
7Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you post on Izuke (profile photos, messages, journal entries, Moments). By posting content, you grant Izuke a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to any content you post, and that your content does not violate the rights of any third party.
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful or inappropriate.
8Safety
Your safety is important to us, but we cannot guarantee it. When meeting another user in person you should always:
- Meet in a public place for the first time.
- Tell a friend or family member where you are going.
- Arrange your own transportation.
- Trust your instincts — if something feels wrong, leave.

9Termination
You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen. Upon deletion, your profile, messages, and journal entries will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
10Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
Running involves physical activity that carries inherent risk of injury. Izuke is not responsible for any injury, death, loss, or damage arising from your participation in any activity arranged through the Service.
11Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Izuke and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.
12Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will notify you via the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
